In January this year, Sandy, Ian and I decided to unite our artistic and business talents to create an online business to sell our girls dresses. The subsequent months became a ravelling of design ideas, fabric investigations, manufacturing options, world delivery logistics, accounting and legalities, domain names, etc… Girls dresses is indeed a huge industry, but one we felt that needed our special recipe, one mixed with our desire for absolutely beautiful comfortable attire and one with ingredients that conjured up many different experiences.

Once we had decided that it was important to involve as many of the sensory components into our designs, it became inevitable that our first range of clothing would be made with a range of colours unique to certain spices, as they not only created an amazing palette of earthy and heavenly colours for our range of girls dresses, but they also provided a basic sensory component that is integral to our designs – where association with senses creates a consciousness of believing and belonging in our children’s wear. Suddenly cinnamon was no longer just a spice for exotic curries, it became Cruisy Cinnamon, an aromatic and basic ingredient used in many of our girls dresses; and Crazy Cayenne, a powerful hot pepper suddenly added fire to our designs. Amazingly our girls dresses took on a new dimension, as The King of Medicinal spices – cayenne, and other spice, became intrinsic in our designs, which reverently united to culinary delights of all nations.

The intensity, delicacy and distinction of saffron, our Sassy Saffron, features in many of our designs, most notably in the Tamera Pants Set. The amazing brightness of turmeric, Tango Turmeric, has been used in cooking, dying and as beauty therapy for thousands of years, and features in many of our girls dresses.

Ancient cultures echo through our designs, with Beautiful Blue Poppy Seeds and Perfect Pink Peppercorns adding delicate, fragrant and spicy flavours to our banquet of girls dresses.

The refreshing colour and sweetness of Cute Coriander, and the deliciousness and sweetness of Very Vanilla arouse our aromatic senses while Cheeky Cardamom, distinctive and second only to saffron, and Amazing Mace, with its regal purple hues, both command our respect.
