The Bali Connection

An exotic holiday to Bali last year, for some much needed rest and relaxation, in fact yielded the birth of our new business – sarispice.com, a range of beautiful summer clothes for girls.

Ian and I arranged to meet up with Sandy Elliott, a friend and former teaching colleague of mine, now residing in Bali. I later returned to Bali to do some Art Therapy with Sandy, an Art teacher extraordinaire. A seed was planted…

We all had a desire to create a range of summer clothes for girls which would capture our common love of all things bright and beautiful – the colour and vibrancy of our living environments, the functionality of our indoor/outdoor living spaces and the practicality of an active and fulfilling lifestyle.

The summer clothes for girls needed to have amazing colours that not only demonstrated the beauty of nature, but also the exoticness of the spices which are so much a part of our history… which not only provided richness to past cultures but continue to tantalise us with fragrance and flavour.

The range of summer clothes for girls was determined by the following requirements: the desire for the very highest quality of fabric available; the use of natural fibres as they are a renewable energy; designs of summer clothes for girls which not only look fantastic but are also practical, allowing for growth and comfort and durability; eye-catching colour fast dyes, all specifically dyed to match our spice theme; strong and comfortable stitching; all of which add softness to the skin.
